Rogério Skylab em SKYGIRLS

“SKYGIRLS” é um novo projeto de Rogério Skylab.

A banda apresenta uma sonoridade diferente da apresentada na série dos Skylabs.

Formada por Thiago Martins (guitarra) e Bruno Coelho (bateria), ambos remanescentes da antiga banda, apresenta também Eliza Schinner no baixo e Leandra Lambert (Voz del Fuego) nos teclados, programação e voz.

Eliza Schinner faz parte da cena carioca, tendo sido uma das fundadoras da banda Onno, bem conhecida nos idos de 90.

Já Leandra Lambert (Voz del Fuego) é figura lendária do underground carioca.  Flerta com a música eletrônica e tem vários projetos como o “Inhumanoids”, “Lingerie Underground”, “Mulher Espacial” e “Dziga Vertov”.

A banda se apresentou pela primeira vez no Rio (RJ), com dois shows no Cinematheque.  Em seguida, gravou em maio de 2009 o disco na CIA dos Técnicos, mixado por Vânius Marques.

O repertório apresenta duas músicas francesas conhecidas: “La Mer”, composta por Charles Trenet; e, AH Melody, de Serge Gainsbourg, que consta de seu famoso disco “Histoire de Melody Nelson”.

Outra novidade no repertório é a música de Júpiter Maçã, “Na Casa de Mamãe”.
Todas as demais músicas são de Rogério Skylab.

O álbum está sendo lançado pelo selo virtual Psicotropicodelia Music em dois formatos: download livre/ copyleft [gratuito] e cd [duplo e com tiragem limitada].

Todo o conceito gráfico do álbum e do hotsite são do designer Flávio Lazarino, cuja arte já se encontra consolidada em diversos dos nossos lançamentos anteriores. A masterização ficou a cargo do produtor paulista Flanicx.

A artilharia criativa e importância cultural/ musical do Rogério & Cia foram os principais fatores que levaram ao lançamento deste trabalho pelo selo.

Nós aqui, da diretoria esquizza, precisávamos de um item desse peso para estender mais ainda as propostas; em especial abraçar abertamente um lado rock/ska/dub alternativo e psicodélico; que também vive em nossos cérebros/ almas/ corações/playlists :].

“SKYGIRLS” is a new project headed by the great brazilian alt-rock bastard poet Rogério Skylab.

The band presents a different sound from that of Skylabs’ series.
Formed by Thiago Martins (guitar) and Bruno Coelho (drums), both from Skylab’s original band, it also has Eliza Schinner on bass and Leandra Lambert (Voz Del Fuego) on keyboards, programming and vocals.

Eliza Schinner is part of the carioca (Rio de Janeiro city) scene, having been one of the founders of Onno, a well known alt. group from early-mid 90s.

Leandra Lambert (Voz Del Fuego) is a legendary figure from Rio’s underground scene.  She flirts with electronic music and has many side projects: “Inhumanoids”, “Lingerie Underground”, “Mulher Espacial” and “Dziga Vertov”.

The band has made their live debut on Rio de Janeiro, with two shows at Cinematheque.  Right after that, they recorded their album on May 2009, at CIA dos Técnicos, mixed by Vânius Marques.

Two covers from classic french songs entered the album’s repertoire: “La Mer”, composed by Charles Trenet; and “AH Melody”, by Serge Gainsbourg, originally from his famous “Histoire de Melody Nelson” album.
Other new thing is a song from Júpiter Maçã [Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil psychedelic rock composer/musician], “Na Casa de Mamãe”.

All the other songs are composed by Rogério Skylab.

The album is being launched by Psicotropicodelia Music [netlabel] in two formats: free/copyleft download and [limited pressing double] CD.

All the album and hotsite’s graphic conception was in designer Flávio Lazarino’s hands, whose art style is already consolidated on many of our previous releases. Mastering work was done by Sao Paulo producer Flanicx.

The creative artillery and cultural/ musical importance of Rogério Skylab were our main reasons for releasing it.

We, at the schizo directory, needed such a strong item for extending the label’s range; specially by embracing a psychedelic and alternative rock/ska/dub side; which also lives in our brains/ souls/ hearts/ playlists :].

Inauguramos com esse item a série RPTDM [leia-se Relançamentos Psicotropicodelia Music], com material anteriormente publicado - independentemente ou por outros netlabels - acrescidos de faixas-bônus, vídeos e eventuais extras.

O som do Unfactory [calcado em sintetizadores, guitarras e vocais intensos] reflete estilos diversos das últimas 3 décadas. Nos vídeos é também possível sentir toda eletrizante energia da banda..

O "She Bleeds EP", pela quantidade de referências e inegável criatividade, trouxe uma lado 'oldschool modernizado' à Psicotropicodelia. Abrindo e fechando com duas covers surpreendentes (Depeche Mode e Smashing Pumpkins), e mantendo uma produção de 1ª linha ao longo de todas as faixas; garantimos que vocês não se esquecerão dessas músicas tão cedo.

RELEASE DO PROJETO

O Unfactory é um projeto musical que procura exprimir o goticismo da década de oitenta, sob total influência das culturas techno e industrial atuais, mesclando guitarras distorcidas, sintetizadores, elementos experimentais e letras com enfoque romântico (escola literária)..

O projeto teve inicio em Florianópolis (SC) em 2001, com Chris Lima e Deedee na primeira "encarnação" da banda, gerando o primeiro trabalho em 2003 o álbum Negative e na seqüência em 2004 um disco de remixes intitulado Positronic. Em 2005, lançou um single na coletânea ELECTROMAP -> LATAM pela NullRepublik Records da Argentina com mais um integante na formação, Luciano Barbi.

Já em 2006, a "encarnação" da Unfactory conta até o presente com Chris Lima, Walmoli Gerber, Gustavo Storm e Andrey Silva que reformularam o som da banda, trazendo novos elementos para lancar o EP She Bleeds.

With this EP we kickstart the RPTDM series [it reads Re-Releases Psicotropicodelia Music], with material which was previously published - independentent or through other netlabels - with eventual bonus tracks, videos and extras.

Unfactory's music [built upon synths, guitars and intense vocais] reflects various styles of the last 3 decades. On the videos you can also check their electrifyin' energy.

"She Bleeds EP", for its references and undeniable creativity, brought an 'modernized oldschool' side to the Psicotropicodelia. Opening and closing the playlist with surprising cover versions (Depeche Mode and Smashing Pumpkins), and keeping a 1st class production on the overall; we guarantee you want forget these tracks that soon.

PROJECT'S RELEASE

Unfactory is a music project which looks expression at eighties gothic music, but under total influence of current techno and industrial cultures, mixing distorted guitars, sinthesizers, experimental elements and lyrics with a "romantic lliterature approach"..

Project had its start at Florianópolis (SC, Brazil) in 2001, with Chris Lima and Deedee on the first band's "incarnation", giving birth to the first alnbum in 2003, called "Negative"; and sequentially, in 2004, a remixes collection titled "Positronic". In 2005, Unfactory released a track at ELECTROMAP -> LATAM compilation, published by NullRepublik Records from Argentina; with one more member, Luciano Barbi.

Since 2006, the band is composed by Chris Lima, Walmoli Gerber, Gustavo Storm and Andrey Silva; which reformulated the original sound, bringing the new elements which you can check at "She Bleeds EP".

THE INHUMAN PROJECT - The InHuman Project EP (PTDM009)

Jay Sosa, com seu InHuman Project, mixa referências tão livres quanto: trilhas sonoras "sintetizadas", o lado mais experimental da música industrial, breakbeats/downtempo anos 90, batidas/ ruídos e efeitos fracionados e polifônicos das cenas IDM/ Noise, rock'n'roll crossover eletrônico e mesmo o electrotechno dos 00s.

É mais um lançamento no selo que não se prende a um único período ou estilo musical; ao contrário, vem reforçar a cara "para ouvir e algo mais" da psicotropicodelia, apresentando diferentes idéias a cada faixa.

O videoclipe da "Nihilist 1978', feito pelo próprio Jay, vem como bônus e só reforça o impacto da música: sintetizadores "trilhescos", groove de peso e texturas sonoras que grudam nas idéias ;].

Surgido em meados de 2004, The InHuman Project é o resultado de muito Hash, Doritos e filmes B.

The InHuman Project 2008(EP) sai depois de um ano de sua pre-finalização, trazendo um som eletrônico bem diversificado com muita influência de trip-hop, breakbeats, electro e industrial.

Para fãs de Aphex a NIN passando por Portishead e ATR.

Jay Sosa, with his InHuman Project, mixes references as diverse as: synth-driven soundtracks, the most experimental side of industrial music, 90s breakbeats/downtempo, fractured n' multilayered beats/ noises and fx's from IDM/ Noise scenes, electronic crossover rock'n'roll and even the current 00s electrotechno.

Its one more release at the label that doesn't rely on a single music era/ style; in contrast, it comes to reinforce the "for listening and something else" essence of the psicotropicodelia, presenting different ideas from one track to another.

The video for "Nihilist 1978", done by Jay himself, comes as a bonus and brings more impact to this great track: "carpentesque" synths, a strong groove and sonic textures which get glued to the braincells ;].

Created by mid-2004, The InHuman Project is the result of lots of hash, nacho snacks and B movies.

The InHuman Project 2008(EP) is out after one year of pre-finalization, bringing a really diverse electronic sound influenced by trip-hop, breakbeats, electro and industrial.
